Project Details

As the Senior UI Designer on this project, my role focused on enhancing the Style Guide, designing new UI layouts and screens for a game built on Unity Engine, creating marketing artwork and templates, and developing an innovative approach to presenting expansion lore and new deck information. I also worked on engaging users in the evolving story, ensuring an immersive experience that would have them coming back for each release.

Challenges

  • Keep Style Guide updated as the development progresses.
  • Create new expansion icons, pages and themes.
  • Create UI for new features for every new update.

Solution

  • Made Website in Webflow with proper analytics, providing more information, story and lore for each expansion that was embraced by the community.
  • Made new icons for Combat Log, tested with users and reiterated for final designs.

Conclusion

Through my work on Gods Unchained, I was able to help contribute to grow the player base to over 450,000 registered users and 100,000+ Monthly Active Users. This was achieved working with Marketing and the Lead Story Writer by engaging the player base and community on discord, we designed ARG's, dropped blogs and weekly slow dripped story arcs and got the users involved in finding out what happens next in the story and giving clues to what expansion may come next.

The combat log upgrades were also very well received by the community, helping them easily identify what had just happened in battle as well as revise previous strategies.
